A private consultation for Marietta residents

You can schedule your evaluation without traveling to a GMMC office in Marietta. Our service uses a private phone consultation and eVisit. This page describes our statewide service for Marietta residents; it does not advertise a separate Marietta location.

Whether you are seeking an initial evaluation or a renewal consultation, start by choosing an available time on Calendly. Bring your questions and relevant medical history to the visit. The physician reviews your circumstances individually. Booking an appointment does not establish that you qualify.

How to book your medical marijuana evaluation

Choose your appointment time on Calendly

Use the booking link to view available times and complete your scheduling. Check your appointment confirmation for the date and time. A public website inquiry or contact form does not book an appointment.

Receive your eVisit link

After you book, our team sends an eVisit link for your telemedicine visit. Follow the instructions provided in that message. If the link is missing or you need access help, reach GMMC. Our next steps after booking page also helps you learn what to prepare before the visit.

Meet with a Georgia-licensed physician

The consultation is a private 15-minute phone visit. Discuss your diagnosed condition, medical history, current medicines, and questions. Describe concerns in your own words. Explain how they affect your daily life and tell the physician about the clinicians already involved in your care. A Georgia-licensed physician evaluates patients within their Georgia medical practice.

You do not need to predict which answer will lead to approval. Provide accurate information so the doctor can assess your situation. Physicians use medical judgment when deciding whether certification and a recommendation are appropriate.

Pay through eVisit after the visit

The $100 consultation fee is collected through eVisit after your telemedicine visit. Calendly handles scheduling. If the physician determines that you do not qualify, GMMC refunds any consultation fee you paid. There is no merchandise to return or replace.

See our pricing and fees and consultation refund policy. State card fees are separate from the consultation fee.

Qualifying medical conditions in Georgia

Georgia Department of Public Health guidance lists qualifying conditions and any specific criteria. Its official medical cannabis page includes cancer except non-metastatic skin cancer, multiple sclerosis, lupus, inflammatory bowel disease, intractable pain, and other categories. Seizure disorders related to epilepsy or trauma-related head injuries and adult PTSD involving direct exposure to or witnessing trauma are also listed. Some categories have particular requirements, such as severe peripheral neuropathy.

Use our Qualifying Conditions guide to find the relevant condition page. Do not assume that every medical condition or symptom qualifies. A diagnosis on the list does not guarantee physician certification.

Prepare for your private medical cannabis consultation

Keep a current medication list, relevant records you already have, and a short list of questions nearby. Tell the physician who diagnosed your condition and what care you receive. If records are needed, follow the team's instructions for providing them through the visit process.

Choose a quiet, private place and review the eVisit message before your appointment. Keep medical history, diagnoses, medical records, and payment-card details out of public website chat and the contact form. Those channels are for general questions and booking assistance.

The evaluation does not replace your existing treating clinicians. Discuss any proposed changes to your care with them. This page does not promise symptom relief, recommend a cannabis dose, or guarantee particular effects from a product.

Physician certification and your medical cannabis card

The Georgia Department of Public Health patient guide explains that, after physician certification and registry submission, DPH verifies information and provides state payment instructions when the submission is complete. Proof of identity and Georgia residency is required. Your appointment confirmation is not a medical cannabis card.

Follow the official patient and caregiver instructions for current documentation and card status. Our Get Your Card guide explains the next steps.

Medical cannabis dispensaries and the Medical Cannabis Commission

GMMC provides an evaluation service. We do not offer cannabis products for sale, dispense them, or ship them. For questions about authorized dispensaries, purchase requirements, product rules, and possession, consult official state resources and the Georgia Access to Medical Cannabis Commission. A consultation itself does not authorize you to legally possess or purchase medical cannabis.

Georgia law, federal law, travel rules, and workplace requirements are separate matters. Do not assume that an appointment or state card answers every legal question. Check the rules that apply to your circumstances.
